Project Crawford

Our client has such a beautiful home with Victorian details that you cannot replicate – which inspired the design of the space. The brief was to transform the second floor into a cozy, light-filled retreat with lots of storage and multi-functional zones. Challenge accepted! We lighted up all the walls with a mix of neutral paints (a little deeper in the TV room) and added custom window treatments that maximized the light. We mixed new furnishings with existing and added lots of colour and pattern in textiles, rugs and wallpaper.

The focal wall in this family TV room had exposed pipes and an off-center TV without anything to anchor it in the space. We added built-ins to give the room symmetry, hide the pipes and added much-needed storage, plus the TV now looks like it is meant to be part of the room.

The guest bedroom already had so much going for it – including the client’s stunning antique bed and beautiful etched-glass closet doors. We took it to the next level with Farrow & Ball wallpaper, a custom window seat and some cool new chairs.

We transformed this room with custom wraparound cafe curtains which allows for much needed privacy but allows all the beautiful light to spill into the space. This room is multi-functional with a pullout sofa for guests and a games table. It’s also a favourite spot for Monty the cat (we love him)!
